Description
I recently discovered this dish while looking for a protein option that would go well with my cheesy pasta. I am not a big meat fan but this thing is definitely tempting. It is smoky, spicy, sweet, and honestly so addictive.
How to make it
Prep the chicken
Slice the chicken into palm sized pieces. Make sure the pieces are not too thick so they get crispy. Mince 5 cloves of garlic.
Cook the chicken
Heat a pan and add 3 tablespoons oil. Place the chicken pieces in the pan. Cook until they get charred and smoky on the outside.
Make the sauce
In a bowl mix 3 tablespoons gochujang, 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, the minced garlic, 1 teaspoon chilli powder, and 1 teaspoon MSG. Mix until smooth.
Combine everything
In the same pan add 1 tablespoon butter. Put your smoked chicken back in. Pour the gochujang sauce over the chicken. Coat everything evenly.
Slice and serve
Cut the chicken into thin slices. And walla your gochujang chicken is DONEEEE. Love the Koreans thank you so much.
